The Conductive and Light Emitting Plastic

Our generation is moving more towards flexible electronic devices and lightweight circuit boards. Silicon integrated circuits are in market for several years but a new flexible, easily manufactured, giving the freedom of design and fast development.

Polytronics is study of conductive plastics which is still a newer terms because of use in only smaller industries and areas. It cannot replace other technologies but it can surely give the little power to low powered technologies.

Research and development is still under progress because of the new discoveries of new and cost saving materials which can be used in improving these conductive plastics.

Plastics with conductive and light-emitting properties have given a surprise to all the engineering enthusiastic people and to the engineering industries. Conductive plastic is seen to be the future of microelectronics and photonics. The plastic can then be made to assume conductive, semi conductive and electro-luminescent properties. Polymers have the advantage of being transparent and it can also be used to transport and store information and energy.

Polymers are being used and implemented into several applications including sensitive chips. Electronic boards, molding materials and in pastes or adhesive of different packaging of integrated circuits.Polymers have played a very important role in microelectronics for several years.

Conductive plastic can only be used in low speed chips because of they are hundred times slower than silicon chips and other chips.Polymers can be used to create more thin and flexible or inexpensive electronics circuits. Conductive plastic can be used with simple and cost-effective manufacturing processes.

Polytronics is being used because of some the advantages it gives like:

•It can be manufactured very easily
•Low cost occurs when polytronics are manufactured.
•It reduces environment pollution and garbage because it can be recycled and reused.
•It consumes less power it means that less energy will be wasted giving it more power to consume.
•They are small and very light in weight which is good for manufacturing portable devices and circuits.
