One thing should always keep in mind by the electronic engineers before starting any engineering project is that they have made the list of necessary tools in the particular experiment. If they do not have the essential tools, then it can cause the problems such as wastage of time and a lack of budget.
Mainly there are two types of tools which are needed by an electronic engineering in their experiments which includes software tools and hardware tools. The necessity of the various tools generally depends on the type of project which is carrying out by the engineers.
Here are some essential tools which are very helpful for the electronic engineers in order to easy carry out the particular projects:
(1) Hand Tools: It is the most basic category of tools which are being used by electronic engineers in their projects as these tools can be manually operated without any need of power sources as well as it has been using by the engineers from the very long time.
(a) Driving Tools: Whenever the engineers are dealing with the tightening, loosening or removing some screws, they need it. They are also helpful in order to remove bits, screws; nuts as well as bolts from the surfaces and it require the manual force while operating. It includes various types of screwdrivers and wrenches etc.
(b) Cutting Tools: These types of tools are very helpful in order to remove certain part of the materials from the work piece by sources of operations like deforming, turning or shaping etc. it includes utility knife, Hacksaw, pliers etc.
(c) Surgical Tools: There are some surgical tools which can be used as the electronic tools such as tweezers, forceps and scissors etc. in medical terms, such kinds of tools are efficient in extracting objects from the body while in electronic terms, these are very helpful in dealing with the circuits and breadboard.
(d) Boring Tools: These are very helpful in drilling and boring in making holes with the help of revolving tools. These tools simply push away the material to the one side without removing it at the time of removing it.
(2) Soldering Tools: When we are working with the printed circuit boards as well as breadboards, we need to use these soldering tools in order to connect the circuits with the wires and components. It also includes soldering and de-soldering tools.
(3) Measurement Tools: It is quite necessary to measure certain parameters in almost every electronic project which are associated with the device or circuit such as voltage, resistance, current and signals etc.
(4) Prototyping Tools: It is natural if beginners make a lot of mistake while dealing with the electronic components as they have lack of experience in connecting the wires. So in every project, especially for the beginners, it is necessary to use breadboards and zero boards for the establishing connections.
